Although it's the smallest and most inexpensive of Everlast's GTAW/TIG line, the all new DC only Power I-TIG is an ideal and economical choice for portable repair and fabrication. It can be run off most modern generator welders and provides a stable DC arc. A solid performing GTAW-P and SMAW (Pulse TIG and Stick) DC current machine, it can handle stainless and mild steel with ease. The smooth, intense arc of the Power I-TIG makes quick work of about any thickness of stainless or steel alloy up to about 3/8”. Pulse control and full panel control makes this unit ideal to run extended length torches anywhere. It allows “on demand” starting with a mere touch of the finger, making accidental flashes a rare thing, even when operated in the lift arc mode. Of course, foot pedal control is a standard feature as well, should you prefer to use it. If you need a smaller or different torch, don't be afraid of changing to another torch. With DINSE style connectors, the Power I –TIG can be easily adapted to fit most torch brands and sizes. The smooth, stable arc of the stick/ SMAW function, with arc force control, provides an alternative to TIG when conditions aren't the best.
It comes with all the features you'd expect from Everlast: pulse, 2T or 4T panel control, foot pedal control, lift start/HF start selection and IGBT electronics. If you're not interested in welding aluminium, there is really no need to look any further. The features, compact size, and performance of the Power I-TIG 200 lend itself to portable repair, fabrication, prosumer, and even hobbyist use. With a respectable duty cycle of 35% @ 200 amps for TIG, it meets and exceeds the standards of our competition.
